• The US supported Saddam Hussein

  This is bogus. At no point did we give Hussein any significant support, not when Clinton was president, not when Bush.41 was president, not when Reagan was president, not even when Jimmy "I never met a dictator I didn’t love" Carter was president. Go to the General Accounting Office website and search to your heart’s content. You won’t find any evidence of such "aid" because it never existed, except in the fevered imaginations of liberals.

  So who did create and support Hussein, other than the Soviet Union? Why, France, of course, from the very beginning!

• The US supported the Taliban during the Soviet Invasion

  This is also crap. The Taliban didn’t yet exist. We did send foreign aid–that would be food, medicine and other supplies–to Afghanistan, but not to the Taliban. If the Taliban got it, you can thank the UN.

• The US supported Pinochet

  This is, again, crap. Pinochet staged a military coup, and we stayed out of it–for good reason. We did not train any of Pinochet’s troops, nor did we in any way support him. In fact, we pressured Pinochet to hold a general election, which he did, and lost. And it should be said that he stepped down. If we did in some way fail the people of the region, it was in our historic lack of imperialism. In retrospect, we should have forced Pinochet, with troops if necessary, to change his form of government. We did not, precisely because we had no interest in being an imperialist power.

• The US supported the Shah of Iran

  See above. Same nonsense, same response. The only thing that here needs to be said is that the Shah’s government was simply Jeffersonian compared to all the barbaric, medieval regimes that exist in the Middle East.

• Saddam Hussein was no threat to the US

  Neither was Milosevic, but you don’t hear leftists complaining about removing him from power, by military force. Hussein supported terrorists, he was a threat to the entire Middle East, and a free Middle East is in our best national interest–and surely every liberal will agree, in the best interests of every person in the Middle East (or will the liberals violate their own principles again). Whether he was or was not actually aiming nuclear warheads at Washington, DC is irrelevant.

• Iraq is an unconstitutional war because congress made no declaration of war

  You hear this nonsense as much from liberaltarians as liberals. Buy a copy of the Contitution, if you don’t have one. Then find the clause that requires congress to pass a declaration of war. There isn’t one. This is utter horseshit.

• Bush lied to get us into this war

  Lying requires the intent to deceive, and there is not even the smallest bit of evidence that Bush intended to deceive anyone. Furthermore, every single Democrat believed that Hussein was not only dangerous, but had WMDs–including those pro-terrorist Marxist whores, Scott "I bugger little girls" Ritter and Hans "We should be able to vote in US elections" Blix, who only changed their tunes when Klintoon was out and Bush was in.

• Bush "pushed away" our allies

  Utter crap that cannot in any way be supported. The UN refused to enforce their own resolution. "Our allies" here means Germany and France. France not only did not support us, but has been selling Hussein arms since the 70s. France is not our ally. Ditto Germany. We are not there unilaterally–we have supporters fighting alongside us. As for contracts afterward, you can’t bet on one horse, then cash in when your horse loses. Bush had no business awarding contracts to any nation that was not there fighting with us. Period.

So liberals, get new lines you can substantiate, instead of stupid protest march talking points.
