Teflon at Molten Thought has had it with the Dems:
You are no patriot if you wish to see America defeated.
You are no patriot if you hope for America’s humiliation.
You are no patriot if you work for America’s weakening.
You are no patriot if you undermine America’s war effort.
You are no patriot if you call for America’s surrender.
This week, Congressional Democrats confirmed that they are not patriots.
The question for next week, and all of the weeks to come, is how many Americans will show their patriotism with the simple declaration, “Then I am no Democrat.”
This should have been said long ago. The only reason they can be outraged if you do question their patriotism is that they have redefined it. To liberals, patriotism means hating Bush. To liberals, patriotism means opposing your nation. To liberals, patriotism means sedition and treason. To liberals, patriotism means burning flags. To liberals, patriotism is anti-patriotism, because liberals have turned everything on its head.
Liberals do not love their nation. Liberals love their elitist, socialist vision of their nation. Liberals despise their nation as it was founded, and as it exists. This is why liberals want to gut everything this nation was founded upon, and replace it with a Europeanized socialist state.
Forgive the cliché, but if I had a dollar for every time I’ve heard a liberal cut down the United States and praise Europe, I’d have my own island in the Caribbean.
After all, let’s look at the thing liberals despise and want to destroy — and have damaged as much as they have been allowed:
- American global dominanace
- American military
- American intelligence
- National sovereignty
- Capitalism
- American identity (in favor of “multiculturalism”)
- Federalism (in favor of a much more powerful Federal government)
- Self-reliance and personal responsibility (in favor of their welfare state)
The list goes on and on. In fact, out of all the things that set the United States apart from the Euroweenies, I can’t think of one that the liberals don’t despise and want to destroy.
Liberals can’t be called patriotic in any meaningful sense of the term — only in the the perverse and disgusting way they have tried to redefine patriotism, every bit as much a perversion as their vision for America.
I don’t question their patriotism; they have none.
