Oh, so he’s a Republican? I walked past the signs in the empty Allen Street office, and wondered, since they didn’t say. Not really any of my business, since I’m in Benninghoff’s district, but you know, it’s hard not to notice these things.

He’s running for Lynn Herman’s seat.

Oh, yes, sorry, I didn’t think to make that clear - if someone’s advertising for a State Representative seat in the window of the rent-a-storefront on Allen Street, it’s for Herman’s old seat, which would be the 77th District. I used to live in the 77th, but I’m in Benninghoff’s 171st, now.

Does anybody really keep track of the seats by their assigned district numbers? I had to google those, and it isn’t as if I’m all that politically inert.

I don’t know how you manage to keep track of them. There are 100 state districts in Indiana, and 205 here.
