United 93
I just got back from the theater. I saw the first showing, opening day. Four words:
Go. See. It. Now.
Not a whisper of liberal hand-wringing, no “Islam is a religion of peace” disclaimers, nothing about poor, oppressed, marginalized, disenfranchised, disempowered little brown Muslims, and no crying about all those poor homicide-bomber Palestinians. I won’t give any details, other than that everybody was silent leaving the theater.
I wouldn’t take small children. It hasn’t been sanitized — and that’s exactly as it should be. Teenagers, however, should see this movie. Every American should see this movie. My only criticism is that it’s about four years late.
I’m not sure what happened to Hosting Matters today, but it was down. Considering that they host LOTS of blogs, lots of blogs were down today.
F.B. Jones:
I am not a regular movie goer. I have seen a few previews for it and I must say. I am suprised another movie correctly portrays real events is amazing. I have only seen a very small amount of movies that are even close to true. In fact The Passion is about the only one I can think off hand.

a friend of mine said she and a lady she didn’t even know hugged in the lobby. in the parking lot, there were just people sitting in their cars after the movie - i guess not knowing what to do next. i imagine if hollyweird were fair this would be an oscar contender.

Warning: Spoiler follows!
Uncomfortably Numb, Re-Awakened Anew
I just pray that no other American has to watch as that green, grassy field approaches before everything goes dark. This is not just a reminder, folks….it’s a warning. It’s not a matter of “if” anymore…. but of “when.”
