That’s “hanged,” you illiterate moron. Nobody “hung” Hussein, unless it was from a hook in the wall.
And I feel an overwhelming sense of sadness.
Oh no! I’m so very sorry that executing a mass-murdering tyrant makes you sad! You poor thing!
Everybody has to start by saying that it isn’t bad that Saddam Hussein is dead – he was an evil man. But what is evil? It is a religious denunciation, a way to set a person apart from humanity.
He was misunderstood! His daddy didn’t hug him enough! Poor, poor, misunderstood, marginalized, disenfranchised, disempowered, oppressed, dead Saddam Hussein! Oh, the humanity!
He was a man who never knew happiness I think.
And he never went to a therapist! I’m going to cry now! Poor Saddam!
I feel sadness because we repaid cruelty with cruelty.
We should have given Saddam lollipops and had a big group hug, to break the cycle of violence! If Saddam had only been led through a rousing chorus of kumbayah and let liberals love him, he would have been so much happier! Oh Saddam! Poor thing!
When Wilbur is sad, I’m sad. ‘Cause ya know what? It’s all about Wilbur being sad. That whole ‘war’ thing was about Wilbur being sad. Nations do things to make Wilbur sad. The press reports things to make Wilbur sad.
I’m sad that Wilbur is sad. I’m even sadder that he’s so abject in his moral confusion and cowardice that his only way to confront an evil man is to feign some notion of ethical evenhandedness and universal humanistic empathy by shedding a tear for a mass-murder.
I think he’s being far too hard on our sensitive leftist. After all, Bush is so much more evil than poor, misunderstood Saddam!
