I admit, it’s been kind of a pain in the *ss. Because it’s 40 outside, everytime I lift the cover to either turn and baste the roast, or add more fuel, I lost a lot of heat and it takes a while to build back up. But we’re getting there. Really.

I made the slaw. I’m going to go prepare the apples and put them to soak in some lemon juice and water so they’ll be ready to toss into the pan with the butter and the brown sugar and the cinnamon . . .
