American Justice just started. The description for the episode is: “A confession can harm a defendant’s case in the justice system.”

Really?

But of course, Bill starts right off, wringing his hands and talking about how lonely the poor murderer is.

I’m changing the channel before I throw something at the TV.

I’m probably gonna have to use this on my own blog, but I once got selected for a murder trial. For religious reasons, the murderer could not attend on Fridays. The judge asked if anyone had a problem coming nights. My adjunct college position made it a problem.

The judge said we all have to make sacrifices, and too bad. I prevailed upon my MD to write a note and weaseled out.

Not all that civic minded, I know, but unlike the murderer, I still had bills to pay.

One wonders if the murderer was concerned about the religious rights of his victim before he killed him?

Bill Kurtis is probably one of the most sanctimonious, self-righteous, pompous asses on television. I prefer to watch the crime shows on Court TV.
