My dad is buried at the Barrancas National Cemetary here in Pensacola. The funeral had the attendant rifle detail. I remember being on the Fort Hood funeral detail nearly 20 years ago, and thinking that it was a pain in the ass. My thinking has changed, of course. I would stand until I passed out to honor the men and women who have served our country before and since that time. Honor actually means something in this country among warriors. It is somewhat less encouraging that so many leftards hate our military so much that they spit on the memory of our fallen heroes. To them, nothing is sacred, nothing is worth a sacrifice, and our great country can do no right.
