Pics

Well, they’re up (the last is the Yorktown, which is now the WW2 museum. Didn’t get there–wasn’t enough time.) Oh. The URL. Pics are here.

Something’s Weird

Without going into detail, since this connection may not last, I’m having trouble connecting to the blog. Probably not much in the way of updates, though I’m uploading the Fort Sumter pics (some, anway). More later, if this connection doesn’t die.

Pics

I’m downloading them from the camera now–I took 145 pictures today, so I’ll only post a few. I’ll post the rest, along with a recap, after we get back to Pennsylvania (and cool weather).

Argh! The Pain!

Went to a barbecue place, and stupidly ordered a whole rack of spareribs–with sweet tea, cole slaw, and cinnamon apples. I was not up to it. I got about 3/4 of the way through them before I admitted defeat.

Hmmm

The website says the trips are at 9:30, 12:00, and 2:30. The matinee is at 2:30, so it sounds like taking the 12:00 trip would be cutting it too close. So we’re going to see Fort Sumter at 9:30. And yes, I’ll be taking the camera.

From the website: “Use insect repellent in the warmer months. Beware of fire ant mounds.”

Uh-huh.

Also from the website: “Summer here is hot and humid, so drink plenty of water and take frequent breaks out of the sun.”

No! Really?

Why God Invented Breakfast

Buttermilk biscuits and sausage gravy.

It’s 7:55 AM, and when I went outside, my glasses steamed up. But it’s only 78.

Moonbatfest

Here–and follow the links for the other parts. I’m going to go have grits and biscuits and gravy, sausage, bacon, and fried potatoes.
