So this morning, I stepped onto what looked like a wet driveway, and found out as my butt hit and I slid all the way down the driveway into the street that it wasn’t wet, it was ice.
If that had happened when I was a kid, I would have done it over and over again. I didn’t think it was fun, and I didn’t do it again. Anyway, that’s how I found out we had freezing rain last night.
Now, it’s just drizzle. Above freezing, though, so the ice has melted.
That’s how my day started.

I had the same experience last night, only mine was a combo of oil based paint, and residual rain water on asphalt. The slide was fun until the balance of equilibrium and gravity decided to turn against me.
Falling when you get over fifty just isn’t the same as when your under 12, it hurts a lot, lot longer.
I did that just after christmas except it was frost on my deck. I’m 34 but it’s no fun then either. Especially when you land on your tailbone. That ranks up there with giving birth and passing kidney stones.
That will wake you up in a hurry! I did it once while holding a hot cup of coffee. At least it melted some of the ice along with my skin.
