but no doubt you’ve heard that Katie Couric is being given her walking papers (Ed has a good write up; follow the links). Is anybody surprised that this giggling, hand-wringing, mindless liberal bimbo wasn’t a success? In my parents’ home, we watched the Huntley-Brinkley Report every night (Good night, Chet. Good night, David, and good night from NBC news). That was news for adults, not babbling and giggling for narcissistic, twenty-something, hip, liberal children who refused to become adults.
Here’s a youtube video of Chet Huntley’s coverage of the Charles Whitman shootings. Note the absence of giggling, whining, moaning, and cutesiness. Also note that Huntley didn’t pull in some gun control advocate to comment.
