I got into a pissing match on Alan Colmes' blog about Water(break)Gate, until I, like Robert Talbert realized that debating these Titanic hangers-on is a waste of pixel juice. Palin saves the ticket for me. All respect to our host here, but McCain's conservative bona fides aren't exactly titanium. But Palin is a great choice. I think we'll be able to gauge just how great by how strident the left becomes as time goes by.

The convention announcement and the concurrent bounce for McCain/Palin would have been nice. If and when (ain't holding my breath) the undecideds recognize the inherent humanity in postponing the superfluous festivites is commendable, maybe we'll get that bounce. The problem is that anybody who is undecided is probably a feckin' retard, at this point. I've always looked askance at people who can't resolve themselves between feckless socialists and relatively-less power-grubbing conservatives. *shrug*

Nice post, Perfessor.

Fantastic article.

For several months I've had Palin or JC Watts on my VP wish-list (and frankly thought there was no way in hell I'd get either). Now, if JC could get a gig within their administration I'd be very happy. I think she pushes McCain over the top by 5M votes.

Outstanding article and analysis.

At first, I was defensively posting counter-comments like mad on any and all CNN or blog articles disrespecting Gov. Palin. Then I realized, all the dissing merely highlighted the duplicity and self-righteousness of the self-appointed meritocracy that calls itself the Democratic Party. Now I just hope the stuffed shirts on the left just keep on talking. The more they talk, the better she and the ticket look.

I suspect her debate with Biden will, also, consist largely of letting Joe Biden keep on talking, one round after the next shot into his own foot. And I predict a lot of the haters out there are going to be very surprised when Gov. Palin hands Sen. Biden his own posterior as a hunting trophy once the debate is over.
