The Drugs Are Wearing Off
And reality is dawning. From Jules, who reads HuffPo so you don’t have to, this moonbat slowly raises his head, blinks his eyes, and feels the hammer drop.
We’re going to frickin’ lose this thing.
Why yes, yes you are. Had you asked me, I could have told you that as soon as it became apparent Barack the Naked Emperor Obama would be the nominee. Did you really think a snooty, effete academic who whines about the price of arugula, sneers at Americans, shops at Whole Foods, and rides a bicycle around with one of those wussy helmets on his head could get elected? Against a war hero and a tough as nails, ordinary as they get, citizen reformer?
It’s a bit early, but you may even lose by a whole lot. America’s got a fevah, and it ain’t Obama.

I disagree. I think Obama would of won if it wasn’t for Palin. I was going to vote for him, and I am one of the few swing voters. I know of several other independents who thought the same thing.
I think as long as some of the more unbelievably gullible or naive PSU and U of Penn students stay home (stoned, forget to vote, hungover, whatever), McCain might even have a shot at PA. :)
I thought Obama might still pull it off, until I found out Tammy Bruce, a recent president of NOW’s LA chapter is now voting McCain/Palin. Her article was in the SanFran Chronicle and it was good.
Anyway, I hope you’re predictions are right and McCain wins by a large margin. Even my state of Michigan, which has been heavy Dem is now evenly split. I’m helping my newly 18yo daughter register to vote today — she’s “voting for Palin.”
We’re coming off the worst eight years in our country’s history.
God, liberals and leftists are so jaw-achingly historically illiterate that it makes me want to rip my head right off my shoulders just to relieve the pressure. Yeah, the worst eight years, because it was so awful when Lee’s army sacked south-central Pennsylvania in 2003, and the British Navy burned the Connecticut coast in ‘05. It’s even worse how the unemployment rate hasn’t see south of 10% since the summer of 2000. And oh lord, the lynchings of illegals and cross-burnings, it’s like a D.W. Griffith revival on the border with Mexico!
But seriously, folks, Pennsylvania’s a long shot unless the Republican Party faithful get out and get doing. Every night I leave the office on Beaver & Allen and walk back to my car for the drive back to Bellefonte, the lights are burning bright in the Obama bunker across the street from the borough building. If organization alone wins elections, the Obama hordes have numbers, preparation, enthusiasm, and months of momentum. Get in contact with your Party, Republicans! I’m a damnable Democrat, don’t leave me alone in your campaign offices!
