For The Curious

If you’ve wondered what the Lost craze is all about, but realize you missed the boat and can’t just jump in, both G4 and the Sci-Fi Channel are airing all of the previous seasons, beginning with the pilot tonight. Just passing it on.

Cool.

George Will will be speaking on the Altoona campus November 20. They’re already running TV ads.

Not That!

Ace reveals an awful truth about Palin!

My stars and garters! This Nazi Whore demands federal money to upgrade an airport serving nothing but federal employees, NSA geeks and Air Force radar monkeys! Obviously this is primarily a state concern.

Laura Meckler obviously wishes she wrote for the NYT. She’s 0 for 0 so far.

Tom Needs Your Help And Support!

He read the NYT hit piece (you know, when they sent all those reporters to Wasilla to dig up dirt on Palin), and, well, see for yourselves:

Sarah Palin often uses lots of notes when she speaks, even going so far as to use tabs and different colors of notecards. This is just so unbelievably tacky and small town I am considering killing myself.

And it gets worse.

All this, taken together, goes far beyond Maureen Dowd’s searing revelation that Sarah Palin wears shoes that are really intended for much younger women. Now we know that far from a pit bull with lipstick, Governor Palin is a merely human politician who rewards friends, punishes enemies and plays “hardball” just like one of the guys. Who does she think she is?

There are serious issues for concern here, though.

Upon getting elected, Palin fires people who have held jobs for years (”professionals”) and puts in people she has known for years, often going back to her high school days. Why a reform-minded politician would do this in a notoriously corrupt state is, of course, baffling.

Worse:

Palin bears grudges and takes them personally. This is a rare fault in politicians and not to be endured. The Clintons, for example, have set a fine example in letting bygones be bygones.

And this is just unforgivable:

Not only Governor Palin but members of her staff sometimes use their personal email accounts to do public business. This charge is perhaps the most deeply shocking of all. Then, these same officials have sometimes resisted turning over their personal emails on public business to their opponents in political disputes.

Run over there and give him your support before he jumps out a window!

See? Just Ask Me.

I said Obama was too pompous and impressed with himself to apologize. And after Obama stuck his great big foot all the way down his gullet the other day, what’s the campaign response after having it pointed out why McCain can’t type?

You’re. Not. Even. Going. To. Believe. This.

“McCain ‘ought to’ learn how to use a computer.”

Meanwhile, Obama doesn’t think it’s a problem that he’s lost the most important voting age demographic in the nation, and continues to spit in their faces.

On Fox News this morning Obama spokesperson Bill Burton dismissed concerns over alienating older voters due to the Obama campaign’s decision to play the age card against John McCain in this year’s election. Meanwhile, Obama already trails McCain by nearly triple the margin Kerry lost Seniors to Bush in 2004.

According to CNN, in 2004 Kerry lost the Senior vote to Bush by the following margins:

60 and Older: Kerry -7  / (24% of electorate)

65 and Older: Kerry -5 / (16% of electorate)

Today the AP has this as their campaign “stat of the day.”

John McCain leads Barack Obama by 23 points among rural voters and by 13 points with voters age 65 and over, according to an AP-GfK Poll of likely voters.

And that’s mostly before the “he doesn’t use a computer” ad has really started to play.

So is there any group left Obama hasn’t managed to insult? It he trying for a repeat of 1980?

Obama’s Secret Weapon

Glenn Reynolds: Oh no! Watch out, McCain! They’re unleashing Joe Biden!

Ouch.

Today’s Rasmussen Poll

Not yet released to the public.

McCain: 49%
Obama: 47%

63% Say McCain Prepared for top job, 44% Say Same About Obama

Flying Solo

From Hot Air. Sarah Palin rocks the house solo in Carson City.

The Golden rally is streaming live here. She should be walking onto the platform any minute (supposed to start at 11 am EST).
