Dull, Dull, Dull
Just got off a conference call:
Today at 1:30 p.m. EDT, the McCain-Palin presidential campaign will hold a conference call with Senator Clinton’s Senior National Political Advisor Miguel D. Lausell and Hillary Clinton Delegate-at-Large Luchy Secaira. Lausell and Secaira, who are endorsing John McCain for president, will discuss Sen. McCain’s appeal among Hispanics and women.
Secaira sounds just like that actress. Elizabeth Peña. Exactly. Her initial statement sounded like she was reading a press release. Short and general.
Now, Lausell. Less like a press release, so far fairly general, but he’s getting into details. Ah, should have put Hillary on the ticket! Or Richardson (makes sense, although I wasn’t expecting it). Doesn’t take the public seriously.
Secaira. Obama’s own Senate office, ah, the pay inequity theme. She metioned Obama paying men more, but not McCain paying women more (slightly). Not the time for an inexperienced Senator who cannot connect with blue-collar families.
She likes Palin. Thinks Palin can connect to Hispanic women (makes sense).
Lausell. Obama’s words don’t match his actions. I can think of several thousand examples, but he didn’t expand.
Something about Medicare in Puerto Rico. Don’t have a clue.
End of call. Pretty boring. No dirt. Nothing really good or entertaining.
