ABC News’ Teddy Davis, Rigel Anderson, and Arnab Datta Report: Speaking to Fox News on Friday, Sarah Palin indicated for the first time that she does not consider Barack Obama qualified to be commander in chief and sharply criticized him for saying last year that U.S. troops in Afghanistan are “just air raiding villages and killing civilians.”
Calling Obama “reckless,” Palin said that where she comes from Obama’s remarks “disqualify someone from consideration for the next commander-in-chief.”
“Some of his comments that he’s made about the war, that I think, in my world disqualify someone from consideration for the next commander-in-chief,” said Palin. “Some of the comments he’s made about Afghanistan, what we are doing there, ‘just air raiding villages and killing civilians.’ That’s reckless.”
She’s baaaaaaack!

I wish I could believe McCain has a grand plan. (He has pulled some OODA miracles lately–I think “suspend the campaign” was one, what he did during the suspension was not.)

I think this performance gave the McCain/Palin ticket the energy it needed to get back on message and generated some much needed excitement. Now it is McCain’s duty to pick up the ball and run with it. I think he will do that.

All hopes rest on Governor Palin at the Vice Presidential Debate, no thanks to Katie Couric and Charlie Gibson. Ms. Palin knocks it out of the ballpark; she delivers. There’s an observation I’d like to make about Democrats though. A faux pas they commit with increased regularity. Now if you don’t like Bozo the clown, if you feel that he’s a particularly bad clown and bad for the country, why then don a Bozo wig, a pair of size 14 shoes, and a rubber nose whenever denouncing Bozo?
If there’s an official uniform of the president, it’s the pastel blue tie, white shirt, and dark suit first popularized by George W. Bush. The color scheme comes from the presidential flag. No other American president made those colors his signature style before George W. Bush. In 2004, Bill Clinton even had his presidential portrait painted wearing George W’s distinctive garb. Although the 1960 Kennedy vs. Nixon debate was televised in black & white, people still argue the significance dark blue vs. grey played during the election.
But there remains no ambiguity about which candidate wore what color (Kennedy, blue). Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. And, the fashion police have long memories. Ms. Palin dressed for and aced the debate. Note: before castigating Bozo, please try not to emulate Bozo. It makes one look like a clown.
