I thought Johnstown was either Murtha’s district or Shuster’s? Peterson’s is mostly north of Altoona and along the West Susquehanna watershed & the Northern Tier. Here’s a map. Johnstown’s in the heart of Murtha’s 12th.

I’ve been making so many calls for the campaign here in State College that I just returned a call here at work & could not identify myself properly. I kept stuttering & mistakenly identifying myself as “a volunteer from the-” instead of naming the company I actually do for-pay tech support in daylight hours. Luckily the call was to a soil test lab in Georgia, and she was sympathetic.

Damnit John — clobber that Communist tool !!

I admit I do not like McCain’s attitude of ‘reaching out’ to the enemies of our Republic, and make no mistake the DNC and the Democrat Party has been infiltrated and undermined by our enemies. Take the gloves off, John; let Sarah loose — she has the guts, knowledge, and attitude that is necessary to beat the Obamabots into the ground.

Thank you for the post. This election is turning me into a manic-depressive. When I read some blogs, I get filled with despair and thinking “We’re losing! We’re losing!” Then I read others like yours, and I’m filled with hope again. I don’t know how I’m going to survive the next three weeks, unless McCain does his job and really go after Obama and show that he (McCain) really wants to win the presidency.

Your point is well taken. I am tired of polls, whiners on both sides, and most especially the fact that McCain/Palin “supporters” are giving up with no reason. In the national polls, BO has a less than three point lead with a margin of error of +/- of 4%. That’s nuts and means nothing. The MSM is putting this stuff out there because they want their boy (man) to win. McCain/Palin are right there and if McCain gets aggressive in the last debate he can pull it out. I love McCain, but he needs to let BO have it. Pin him down to some specifics. Screw the debate protocol. Let them hear you John. BO has been the beneficiary of a total pass by the MSM and someone has to call him on it. It’s about time.

OK I confess, I was really hanging out for pictures, but I’m pleased to hear everyone was enthusiastic and Palin was in form. Her speech slamming Obama on abortion was a corker. She’s the best thing that’s happened to American politics. Won’t lie: I wish we hand politicians like her here in Oz.

I don’t have a dog if this fight (although in another way, as a close ally, we do have an interest in the outcome for your sake as much as ours). I gave up reading a lot of U.S. liberal blogs because of PDS but I do also get surprised at the negativity at sites like Malkin and Hot Air (I do however enjoy Ed Morissey’s commentary)
