Not Good
My legs are pretty much useless today — I can’t even close the recliner. I have an appointment Monday with the orthopedic surgeon, but as bad as this has gotten, I wonder if maybe I should call his office today.

If you did not talk to your doctor today, and the situation is as you described it, you should call the doctor now, if you have an out-of-hours number.
If you don’t you should see if you can find a nurses-helpline at the nearest hospital, and if that fails, the nearest teaching hospital, and if that fails, the ER you would go to if you went.
I am not medically trained, but I think time is of the essence.
