Your point is well taken. I am tired of polls, whiners on both sides, and most especially the fact that McCain/Palin "supporters" are giving up with no reason. In the national polls, BO has a less than three point lead with a margin of error of +/- of 4%. That's nuts and means nothing. The MSM is putting this stuff out there because they want their boy (man) to win. McCain/Palin are right there and if McCain gets aggressive in the last debate he can pull it out. I love McCain, but he needs to let BO have it. Pin him down to some specifics. Screw the debate protocol. Let them hear you John. BO has been the beneficiary of a total pass by the MSM and someone has to call him on it. It's about time.

OK I confess, I was really hanging out for pictures, but I'm pleased to hear everyone was enthusiastic and Palin was in form. Her speech slamming Obama on abortion was a corker. She's the best thing that's happened to American politics. Won't lie: I wish we hand politicians like her here in Oz.

I don't have a dog if this fight (although in another way, as a close ally, we do have an interest in the outcome for your sake as much as ours). I gave up reading a lot of U.S. liberal blogs because of PDS but I do also get surprised at the negativity at sites like Malkin and Hot Air (I do however enjoy Ed Morissey's commentary)

The enemy of my enemy is my friend. Besides who cares what party you are in. This is voter fraud and intimidation on a scale that cannot be allowed. I am with PUMA. We HAVE to ban together and get this RICO thing going and keep it going. The D.N.C. most certainly KNEW about what was going to happen when Soros bought the party. That's why they didn't stop the misogyny in the media, that's WHY they didn't respond when Clinton's lawyers filed suit over the caucus fraud, that's why her delegates were threatened AT the convention...and on and on. If you worked on HIllary's campaign and DIDN'T get a death threat you are the exception to the rule. It got to be a dark joke among her supporters who were most active. This will be evidenced in not just Gigi's film but, in Brad Mays' "The Audacity of Democracy" too. We are NOT going away on this even if he goes to the White House. We need ALL American's who feel the media is taken over by those who want to do one big long Obama commercial, who want their vote counted fairly to join us. We're not taking this b.s. laying down.

Dr. Lynnette Long's caucus fraud analysis will give you a good idea what went on ...as will the previews to both these documentaries. These can be used to show intent over the long term to defraud the voters of America.

Is anyone really surprised about a two-bit Chicago pol engaging in dirty tricks? Chicago got the election for Kennedy in 1960, and they want to replicate that now on a nationwide basis. The truly surprising thing is that no one's paid any attention sooner than this.

I hope and pray they nail these frauds but good.

I saw that on the Anchoress' website. Hilarious. I was trying to figure out who he was so I could find more of his stuff on youtube. So thanks for the additional link... and I agree about the Crabs in a Bucket analogy -- he's something else.

This was good... From his bio:
"I apologize to the gay community for what you found insulting. I made an honest account of your sexual activitiy. I didn't know you would be insulted by what you enjoy."

All those PA ACORNs can come to Ohio...Jen Brunner said so.

Did Barr actually think the NRA was going to endorse him? Seriously, this is the organization that will endorse an F-rated Republican over an F-rated Democrat, instead of staying the hell out. Yes they're pragmatic, but I suspect the pragmatism is as much about preserving their jobs as preserving the 2nd A. And, pragmatically, it's not that your man is so good on guns, but that Obama is so very bad. Not that we bitter clingers really need the NRA to tell us what to do...

Well, John Lennon WAS a historical figure, in the same sense and of roughly the same importances as another composer, Emerson Whithorne ... who most musicologists don't know about, but who was the up and coming guy in 1920 America, before the Boulangerites kicked his butt.

And that's the problem here. History is all about hierarchies. That's why it doesn't get taught: because it teaches that some individuals are more important than others, and we can't have that. And you can't decide who is important before you've decided what is important. You say "George Marshall" and I say "Marshall Plan", and have a clue what that was and why it might have been important. But I had to look up what offices he held. So was he really important? You and I know who Norman Schwarzkopf is; does your typical 20 year old? And should he?

But not knowing where the 13 colonies were...that's inexcusable. Did she think the Revolution was fought in South Dakota?

Well, John Lennon WAS a historical figure, in the same sense and of roughly the same importances as another composer, Emerson Whithorne … who most musicologists don’t know about, but who was the up and coming guy in 1920 America, before the Boulangerites kicked his butt.

And that’s the problem here. History is all about hierarchies. That’s why it doesn’t get taught: because it teaches that some individuals are more important than others, and we can’t have that. And you can’t decide who is important before you’ve decided what is important. You say “George Marshall” and I say “Marshall Plan”, and have a clue what that was and why it might have been important. But I had to look up what offices he held. So was he really important? You and I know who Norman Schwarzkopf is; does your typical 20 year old? And should he?

But not knowing where the 13 colonies were…that’s inexcusable. Did she think the Revolution was fought in South Dakota?

And once they've written these models, let them contemplate how wildly wrong their results are.

It would be fun if you could then bring up the topic of climate modeling. But that would be advocacy.

Actually, the more I think about it, the more it seems that if you expose kids to the difficulties of modeling nontrivial stuff, that's conservative advocacy almost by definition.

All hopes rest on Governor Palin at the Vice Presidential Debate, no thanks to Katie Couric and Charlie Gibson. Ms. Palin knocks it out of the ballpark; she delivers. There’s an observation I'd like to make about Democrats though. A faux pas they commit with increased regularity. Now if you don't like Bozo the clown, if you feel that he’s a particularly bad clown and bad for the country, why then don a Bozo wig, a pair of size 14 shoes, and a rubber nose whenever denouncing Bozo?

If there’s an official uniform of the president, it's the pastel blue tie, white shirt, and dark suit first popularized by George W. Bush. The color scheme comes from the presidential flag. No other American president made those colors his signature style before George W. Bush. In 2004, Bill Clinton even had his presidential portrait painted wearing George W's distinctive garb. Although the 1960 Kennedy vs. Nixon debate was televised in black & white, people still argue the significance dark blue vs. grey played during the election.

But there remains no ambiguity about which candidate wore what color (Kennedy, blue). Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. And, the fashion police have long memories. Ms. Palin dressed for and aced the debate. Note: before castigating Bozo, please try not to emulate Bozo. It makes one look like a clown. Unlike foppish Al Gore, Joe Biden and others, we must not allow our inner bozos to dictate our thoughts and actions, much less our mode of dress: http://theseedsof9-11.com

I think this performance gave the McCain/Palin ticket the energy it needed to get back on message and generated some much needed excitement. Now it is McCain's duty to pick up the ball and run with it. I think he will do that.

One of the saddest things I have had to live with is this:

My father (and I after him) hated, detested, etc, etc, Oleo (aka "margarine").

Oleo does not taste like butter. It is just plain nasty stuff.

When I was little (late 1930's and 1940's) we ate oleo--the kind we had to mix carotene into because the dairy lobby wouldn't allow anything to have artificial color added except butter (did you know butter is not Daglow yellow?).

We ate it because that was all we could afford (or all we could get, depending on the year).

In later years, when they (I had Gone Out Into The World by then--not sure what the connection is) could get and afford butter, the cardiologists had seized control of Dad and outlawed butter.

Now he is dead and gone and it turns out that it wasn't the butter and bacon that killed him, it was the trans fats in the Oleo.

I wonder why they say that Mitch was "struggling". I think it would be more accurate to say that in South Bend, Terre Haute, and the NW Indiana region -- typically strongly Democratic -- people hated him; but everywhere else in the state people think he's doing an outstanding job. The people from northern Indiana hate him mainly because he privatized the I-80/90 toll road, even though by doing so he raised enough money in one week to pay for all the road improvement projects for the entire state for the next 10 years. Yeah, what a loser.

I think the Libertarian candidate (Andy Horning) might actually outperform JLT this time.
